The highlight of Autism Acceptance Month 2023 in Ghana was an Arts, Crafts, and Skills Fair organized by CHIP-I in conjunction with 14 private special needs/inclusion schools of the National Association of Private Special Schools (NAPSS). The fair included snacks, music, dance, and art therapies, with two occupational therapists on site who worked with various children. Artwork produced by the children was exhibited and sold, and video displays of various life-skills which students with developmental disabilities had attained were shown. It was a fun day for children with special needs, their parents/ caregivers, and the teachers as well. The incredible camaraderie had all looking forward to a repeat fair in 2024.
