Cultural Autism Studies at Yale
'Autism in Africa Series'
November/December 2024
CHIP International is proud to be a part of the Cultural Autism Studies at Yale project.
The CASY project is a unique program with the core principle of autistic people defining their own culture and advocating what for works best within that culture. "Nothing about us without us". Beginning as a social online meet-up for people with autism, it has evolved and expanded into a full-fledged curriculum of online workshops covering various aspects of autism and autistic culture globally.

CHIP International's role is to shine a spotlight on autism and special needs in Africa - the hopes, the dreams, the challenges, the successes, the possibilities, the opportunities for change and immense progress. It is our belief and experience that broadening the perspective enriches all and is paramount to advancing proposed solutions which are practical and adaptable to varied contexts.
